The Brackla Distillery was founded in 1812 by Captain Willian Fraser of Brackla. The Distillery gained its Royal prefix in 1835 becoming suppliers to the court of King William IV. The Distillery reopened in 1991. The Royal Brackla malt whisky is used in blends like Dewar's (of course), Bisset's and Johnnie Walker Gold.
