Overview

Hard Times Distillery was started in 2009 in the sleepy hamlet of Monroe, Oregon. In the beginning there was only one label--Sweet Baby Vodka, made from molasses. Then came Green Geisha, the only vodka we know of made with fresh wasabi (grown in Oregon, no less), followed by Sweet Baby Moonshine (oats and barley), Appleshine (made using locally sourced apple juice), right up until the day we casked our first whiskies. Six labels in six years, with more on the way. As our company has developed we have focussed on drawing our ingredients from the bountiful resources sourced from our local community. Through our dedication to supporting our community in this way, we have serendipitously succeeded in cultivating some of the finest micro-distilled spirits the Pacific Northwest has to offer. Stay tuned for more greatness!
