Doug Throener of West Point, NE and James Brozek of Norfolk, NE started this business in the fall of 2009 with one simple goal, to create the best tasting spirits that they could and beat premium spirits in blind tastings and still kept affordable pricing to the customer. Home of Cooper's Chase Vodka, we believe the quality of the grain grown locally along with pure clean ground water gives our products a huge advantage in our venture. Also most of the work is done by family members who give that "little extra" to make products worthy of having Cooper's Chase logo placed on them. In March of 2013 Doug Throener became the sole owner of Cooper's Chase due to James Brozek's retirement. His legacy will always be the foundation of the distillery. Cooper's Chase, which is Nebraska's first federal and state licensed distillery, has goals of producing vodka, bourbon, rye, blended whiskey, and rum.
