When restaurant and DineAmic Group owners Lucas Stoioff and David Rekhson first created Siena Tavern, much of their inspiration came from a quaint, casual and energetic bar and restaurant called La Taverna in Siena, Italy. The inspiration led to a more polished and expansive version suited for River North known in Chicago as Siena Tavern. Bringing the sophistication and charisma of Chef Fabio Viviani’s cuisine as well as the energy of a bustling bar to the epicenter of Chicago’s River North dining scene, the pair created an Italian restaurant that combines the rustic attitude of Italian culture with a level of refinement, quality, and industrial edginess that appeals to the River North area. Whether dining in the Oval Bar, Crudo & Pizza Bar, Private Cellar, or Main Dining Room, the level of service and quality of food promises an exceptional experience.

EXECUTIVE CHEF FABIO VIVIANI
Chef Fabio Viviani has possessed a passion for food since his childhood growing up in Florence, Italy. Although a well-respected businessman in Italy, he was ready for a change and in 2013, teamed up with one of Chicago’s most innovative restaurant consulting groups, DineAmic Group. Starting with Siena Tavern, DineAmic Group owners and Viviani knew they had just begun both a successful business partnership and lifelong friendship. Best known for his television debut on Bravo’s hit reality series Top Chef – earning the “Fan Favorite” title – his on-screen appearances have propelled him to become one of the fastest growing household names in the country. Fabio lives in Chicago and can frequently be seen at DineAmic Group venues.

The 10,000 square foot space’s décor reflects a hybrid of a rustic Italian market, fine dining restaurants, and a modern, industrial tavern, bridging old world comfort and hospitality with a contemporary menu and design.
